If You Feel Different, You Drive Different:
Parents, please join us with your teen.
According to local surveys, some Decatur youth put themselves at risk by operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and/or other drugs, or riding with someone driving a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and/or other drugs.
Parents, you don't have to wait until they get their license to talk with your teens about this.
Our guest speaker, Matt Myers, has more that 18 years of experience training law enforcement personnel across the nation on topics including DUI, field sobriety testing, and drug recognition.
Learn about the major categories of substances that impair driving (it's not just alcohol!).
Also, hear about common misconceptions and related topics:
Impaired driving and related laws
How drugs impair performance
Drug prevalence
Alcohol and driving
Novel psychoactive substances
Cannabinoids and other drugs
In 2019, Matt delivered a well-received presentation to Decatur parents and youth during a local town hall sponsored by Decatur Prevention Initiative .
