Speaker Series

Decatur Parents: It's Time to Connect (& More)

Sunday, October 2, 2022 2pm-4pm

A LIVE Event

Decatur Recreation Center

231 Sycamore Street Decatur GA 30030

Walk-ins are welcome, but letting us know your interest help us plan for refreshments and breakout rooms.

For the past 2+ years, the Decatur Parents Events have been virtual.

It is time to come together, make new connections, renew old connections and learn together. This is a great opportunity for "New to Decatur" parents to network with other parents and to promote health and hope among our young people..

Join us for an afternoon with networking opportunities, rotating mini-sessions, and light refreshments. Topics will include:

  • Building More Resilient Children and Teens (Sessions for Elementary, Middle, and High School+ ages)

  • What's going on with Decatur youth and risky behaviors (self-harm and substance misuse)

  • Save a Life (Naloxone training) and Georgia 911 Medical Amnesty Law (Limited Naloxone kits available while supplies last to those at high-risk or have a loved one at high risk. Info on qualifying for free Naloxone)

Are you new to the area? Parent of a young adult? Worried about your teen? Parents of younger children and want to be more proactive?

This event is for you!
