Alcohol, Drugs, Teens & Tweens:

What Every Decatur Parent Needs to Know

Thursday, November 8th, 2018, 6:30pm

Renfroe Middle School, Media Center
220 West College Avenue, Decatur, Georgia 30030

“Edibles,” “Opioid Crisis,” “Juuling,” and a host of other terms are being highlighted in the news.

You may have heard your child talking about things happening among their friends. Now that your child is entering the teen years, new questions come up, such as:

  • How does all this talk about alcohol and substance misuse relate to our Decatur kids?

  • Why do kids start misusing substances?

  • How can substance misuse impact kids?

  • What can I try to do to prevent the onset of substance misuse?

  • What do I do if I suspect something?

  • Where do I go for help?
